I still haven't decided what type of Chinese wedding dress I would like. I am really not into the traditional ones. I don't like the traditional RED color wedding dress either.

Here are some ideas.

I saved this pic from a while back. It's a really pretty lavender with embroidary. This would make a nice day time dress but not a evening time dress. I was trying to figure out how do I fit in all the dress changes and photo opportunities.

I will ask the photographers if it's possible for a photo session Friday afternoon in the Chinese Scholars Garden (just pay the fee) with the light colored Cheongsam on.
Then head over to the rehearsal dinner.

In the evening, if I have a custom Cheongsam made, I would like it to be dramatic. I was thinking of something like this but with the halter collar to have the Cheongsam style with the Frog buttongs. I like the back too here. Tight dresses don't look good on me because I am short and thick.

24th-Mar-2006 08:05 am - For RB and FG
my avatar
Elegantscrapper gave me a great idea. I can send my FG's gift in a basket like the one a FG would carry. Then send my RB a mock pillow with Ring pops on it.

I also found this. I think this castle works. Since Keith and I will be arriving in a horse and carriage anyway. And it comes with an arch which could be like the "ceremony site".

And look, the princess and prince look just like me and Keith!

I want to do something fun to ask my future neice and nephew to be in the wedding. It's already understood but I still think it would be fun. Drew already knows what a Ring Bearer does. He was so cute. He asked me "so the boy umm puts a ring umm on a pillow and gives it to the boy to give to the girl"? I guess his mom or fmil told him about his duty. He's so cute! I love him.

I was thinking of mailing them something...like a BIG BOX WITH CUTE PACKAGING. I was thinking of sending a bouquet of flowers to my flower girl, but I don't think she will understand it so I was thinking of sending her a girl Barbie or something with a wedding theme to play with so she understands her role. Actually Drew is more into dolls and house sets than Kaitlyn is.

Call it frivolous but it's fun!

ANY IDEAS GIRLS???

Ring Bearer's (Drew) pillow: Me Myself and I
Using extra fabric leftover from the invitations, I'd like to make coordinating ring bearer's pillow (but I would do the bow differently) I think I'd like to try to make the bow into a rose using really wide ribbon. (pic courtesy of PoyNoy)

Here's my future nephew Drew. He will be 6 when we get married. Isn't he handsome.

And decorate the Unity Candles like this. I am still not sure about this. I might use lace from my dress or I might use the silk brocade. I guess I won't buy the candles till closer to the wedding in case they get dirty or melty.

Flower Girl: Kaitlyn will be 4 when we get married. I want her to have the puffiest girliest dress ever!

I was hoping something like this would work for the
My future sis in law, Alicia is having another girl possibly named Grace. I don't have a pic of her bc she's still a fetus! But if it's possible since she'll only be 13 months old, I'd like to do something like this. So we'll have an angel crawling around when we say I do.

18th-Mar-2006 02:53 pm - Sorry Boyz, I am off the Market!
my avatar
Let's start off my wedding journal with a little story of how I am off the market, forever and ever and ever! Forunately, for you other ladies who are still single and unfortunately for you guys.

Coincidently, just as I was starting my wedding journal yesterday, someone at school asked me on a date! It's been nearly 4 years since someone has asked me out with the exception of Keith and my brothers!

(I don't remember his name) Let's call him "Stain" because all I could remember was that he had a huge azz ketchup stain on his t-shirt. His name might be Dave actually.

So I was in the CAD Lab (architecture students only) working on my bridge design project which turned out slammin' btw, and Stain came over to help me with my "walkthrough". He was really nice, dorky guy trying to show off his SketchUp skills, yet he couldn't even open his file to show me his project.

I bumped into him again in the lab yesterday and as I was leaving, he comes running out. Trying to make conversation about finals and stuff.

Stain: So what are you up to?
Me: I am running to a review session for my Cive final.
S: Oh that's going to be easy. You'll do fine.
Me: I hope so.
S: Sooo, you should give me your number and we can hang out some time.

Evil Anita thinking: Since when did "YOU SHOULD" become a pick up line. Why should I???
Angel Anita thinking: Oh what a sweet dork. How am I going to let him down easy? NO one has asked me since the engagement.

S: (continues) I was gonna ask you out last time, but...
Me: I quickly blurt out. I'M ENGAGED.
S: (turns all red and bangs his head on the door)Sorry, I didn't mean to embarrass or disrespect you.
Me: No No it's okay. (God I should just tattoo the words "I'M ENGAGED" to my forehead to avoid awkwards moments lke this)
S: Wow, well, is he (Keith) from here (Drexel).
Me: Yes, he's done with school.
S: OH sorry, well I didn't see a ring.

Evil Anita: Picks up hand and flashes the huge bling blingin' chunk of crystallized Carbon set in Platinum mined from poor South American countries.
Stain: (ego has been shot to hell) OH AND WOW, THAT'S A REALLLY NICE RING.

Thank you!

(more awkward conversation)
